Nicky Sudianta
Balian Spirit Yoga
Join Nicky Sudianta in his home village of Balian in the beautiful and remote west of Bali for a 5-night/6-day curated journey into traditional yoga and Balinese culture, at the new boutique Supersenang resort. With more than 20 years of yoga experience in Bali, Balian local Nicky is your experienced guide for this immersive experience and the sharing of knowledge and traditional practices alongside the cultural richness of his community. Your experience includes traditional rituals and ceremonies, daily hatha yoga, pranayama, meditation, mantra, singing bowl and sacred geometry art creation (no artistic experience needed) – all wrapped in nature with ricefield, ocean, coconut grove and mountain views. This offering is suitable for those both new to yoga or experienced, and is a rare opportunity to connect deeply with the heart of Bali and yourself, guided by a teacher deeply rooted in local community and tradition.

The Details at a Glance
The venue - Supersenang means 'super happy'!
Every now and then you stumble across something truly extraordinary. In an uncertain world, it's nature that has the power to root us back into our grounded selves. Supersenang provides a haven away from your worries, with good food, good energy and good people in a natural space amidst lush jungle that overlooks rice fields and the Indian ocean with stunning sunsets over Java each night. Wake up to ocean, walk barefoot on the beach and return to a private boutique sanctuary designed for rest, creativity and connection. This is your nurturing space for six days, welcoming connection in harmony with nature, your home away from home amid the rugged beauty of West Bali. This is a place where it's effortless to feel SUPERSENANG! See the Supersenang space here.
The shala, the rituals
Practice in the brand new ocean facing yoga shala with the sea breeze and the gentle sound of the waves in the distance, a perfect setting to relax and let go. This is an opportunity to re-set and invite positive energy into your life and embrace traditional Balinese rituals, such as the Melukat purification ceremony at the local water temple to cleanse your body, soul and spirit. These beautiful images tell it all, visit the Retreat Gallery.
The village
Bali has become busy! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the more populated areas of Bali, Balian Beach is your haven. Balian (which means 'healer') is reminiscent of the old Bali, and a place where you can delve into the sacred and spiritual. No hectic traffic, one main street, the beautiful Balian River, and a surf beach full of rugged beauty known for its impressive waves and laid-back hospitality awaits. There is a small mini mart and night market. Warungs dot the main street and many overlook the Indian ocean where you’ll find it easy to sink in and become mesmerised by the rolling surf, lulled by natures rhythm. You’ve found the right place if you want to step off the tourist traps. Supersenang is just a 2km hop to the main street, accessible by motor or walk.
Sacred geometry
Our guest and sacred geometry art facilitator infuses the science of pattern recognition in nature with the art of mandala painting. Inspiration comes from the tiniest seed pods or human cells to the rotation of the planets and even our own DNA contains this perfect patterning. Using a compass, a ruler and a pencil you will be guided through creating and discovering these patterns, forming beautiful mandalas and yantras. In silent stillness, you will be able to paint or colour your own design, a piece of you. This practice, along with the physical postures of your yoga will bring a new depth and healing to your practice. You will also come away with your own art work to use in meditation or just to admire.
